Measures in the RTP: What do they really measure?
Over
$100 billion in transportation investments over the next 40 years are being
programmed in to the 2050 Regional Transportation Plan update. Projects in this
plan are based on a complex model that uses specific indicators that show how
all the projects together perform as a network. Come join us for breakfast and
join in an open forum to discuss the metrics used for making these
transportation investments. Are we getting the measurements we need to design
truly sustainable communities as required by SB 375? How are they capturing
measurements for Livability, a Prosperous Economy, Healthy Environments and
Social Equity? SANDAG staff will make a brief presentation, followed by
discussion points by a panel of transportation, housing, and social justice
advocates.
